Size it to what you are parking. A sedan is about 15 ft long and 6 ft wide and a full-size pickup closer to 20 ft, so a 10 by 20 ft carport covers one vehicle with room to open the doors. 13 by 26 ft leaves space to walk around the car or keep equipment alongside it. 16 by 32 and 20 by 40 ft shelter two vehicles, a boat and trailer, or a season of equipment, and double as a large event tent. Peak heights here run 9 to 10.5 ft, listed on every product, so check that against a tall van or a truck with a rack.

What the cover and frame are made of. The canopy is waterproof PE, 160 g/m2 across the top and 140 g/m2 on the sides, over powder-coated steel tubes 38 and 42 mm in diameter. Every model includes 4 sidewalls, two with windows and two with zipper doors, so you can close the shelter in for storage and winter weather or open it up for airflow and a walk-through entry.
